It's a rare and unusual thing for me to ever consider frequenting the restaurant inside a hotel I'm staying at. But this past New Year's Eve, it was the fault of poor planning, long drives and miscommunicated dates that left us reservationless on The Most Wonderful Night of the Year.
I went expecting to be underwhelmed and had the pessimistic side of my brain patrol bombed into silence.
The food, service and ambiance of the establishment were all without fault.
Special care and attention was paid to the most minor of details. The fries accompanying my steak were shaped in the hexagonal cut of the Giant's Causeway, much to the frenzied delight of my eye balls.
The steak was cooked to perfection, served on a black slate, tailor made for a bloody after slaughter clean-up.
The clientele was a solid mixture of couples and families both hotel guests and locals, so you can be clear of any sectarian divides between hoards of Americans and mild mannered Belfastians.
Roast cod delicious 4 November and I eat in sheekeys in London nice hamburger and chips also 3 November will be back v good service and prices
Went for my daughters birthday and the staff went above and beyond! Extra sides sent out, a wee birthday slate too! Food was gorgeous, chips were crunchy and the garlic bread was divine! Can't fault staff either.
